Basalt started with a simple idea: take the best produce New Zealand has to offer and do as little as possible to mess it up. Seasonal. Local. Prepared with care and served without pretension.

Named after the volcanic rock that shapes Auckland's landscape, we believe great food should feel both grounded and refined — like the city we call home.
